Trip Description: Diego will lead a run up Nate Harrison Grade, an approximately 10 mile route to the top of Palomar Mountain. There will be road driving interspersed with the fire road trail. We’ll make our way up the trail to Boucher Hill lookout tower where we will stop for lunch and, if available, a tour of the lookout! Bring your choice of lunch. We’ll finish the day by heading up the observatory where there are options for guided and self guided tours. Rating: easy, dirt roads and some paved sections, accessible to all rovers. Ensure your rover is in good working order as weather can be warm

What to bring:

• If you’re staying the night, bring camping gear appropriate for primitive camping
• Meals and Snacks, restaurants may be available enroute
• Drinking water (1 gallon per day per person, consider pet’s needs if applicable)
• All-terrain tires and full-sized spare should something strange happen
• Any emergency & recovery gear you may have
• Any necessary tire changing tools, including anti-theft lug nut keys
• Sufficient fuel for your vehicle (we will stop to refuel as needed)
• Appetite for trails and fresh air
