SUMMARY:NO Club Meeting in Dec
DESCRIPTION:Please don’t show up….it will be very lonely.  \nHistorically\, we’ve skipped club meetings in the month of December. This year we’re continuing the tradition. Between the club trip\, holiday celebrations\, and New Years\, very few people have spare time during the month.  \nWe hope everyone has a safe and joyful holiday season….and whatever you do\, make sure to keep an eye out for complacent snowmen ⛄️ crossing the road!

SUMMARY:Postponed - Jucumba\, Run for the Border
DESCRIPTION:Postponed – looks like everyone wanted to go on the Death Valley trip this month\, awesome! We’ll bring this run back sometime soon. \nTrip Description: \n\nRating: Moderate to Difficult – Driver experience required; not a trail for novices. The route is rocky\, and steep\, with sections that are narrow and hemmed in by trees and plants.\nFrom the pre-run: lots of rocks that require driver attention\, and some overgrowth introduces the possibility of pinstriping. NOT recommended for vehicles without a lift and off-road tires\, OR people who want to keep their new vehicles cosmetics.\n\nFor this trip\, we’ll be heading out east on I-8 to a beautifully rugged area near Jacumba\, about 65 miles from San Diego. The trail will take us north of I-8\, along the base of Table Mountain\, through the Jacumba National Cooperative Land and Wildlife Management Area and parts of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park on the way to the remnants of a stagecoach stop next to I-8 and ending at an old mining site overlooking Carrizo Gorge. Along the eastern edge of the gorge is the railroad route built by the San Diego and Arizona Railroad and includes a local landmark\, the Goat Canyon Trestle\, which is the largest all-wood trestle in the world. From the overlook at the end of the trail\, we won’t be able to see the famous trestle\, but the view and exploring possibilities are worth the effort to get there. \nTime & Place to Meet: \n\nMeet: Saturday\, April 22\, 9:30 am\, Depart: 10:00 am\nWhere: Chevron Jacumba\n1496 Carrizo Gorge Rd\, Jacumba Hot Springs\, CA 91934\n\nWhat to bring: \n\nRequired:\n\nAll-terrain tires with full-sized spare\nAny emergency & recovery gear you may have\nAny necessary tire changing tools\, including anti-theft lug nut keys\nSufficient fuel for your vehicle\nMeals and snacks for both days.\nDrinking water (Gallon per day per person\, consider pet’s needs if applicable)\nCamping gear appropriate for primitive camping\n(1) Bundle of firewood (at least\, if camping)\n\n\nRecommended:\n\nHigh ground clearance\nVehicle armor (sliders\, etc.)\nSunscreen and hat\nAmateur 2m radio with external antenna (very highly recommended)\n\n\nRecommended if camping:\n\nWeather can be unpredictable – checking the National Weather Service report is recommended.\n\n\n\nDesination information: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park\nFrequency: 2M: 147.580 MHz\nRSVP/Register: Sign up below\nTrail Leader: Hamed Seyedi \n \nIf you have questions or need more info\, don’t hesitate to Contact the trip Trail Leader.
