DESCRIPTION:Trip Description:   \nRating: Easy\, bouncy backroads with great views at high elevation. \nDetails: This trip will be to the Santa Rosa Mountains in nearby Riverside County\, between Anza and Palm Desert.  This is a scenic higher elevation trip with cool pine-scented breezes.  A morning drive will bring us to a campground near Toro Peak for a picnic lunch.  The return trip will have us back in San Diego by late afternoon.  Anyone has the option of staying overnight at the campground and driving back the next morning. \n           GAIA Map https: Here is the link \nImportant note: **A (FREE) California campfire / camp stove permit required if you plan to have either.
