This is the reincarnation of the September Wine tour, which was postponed.

Trip Description:

• Rating: Easy with some adventurous spots and great views.

The off-highway trails will start in Warner Springs and we’ll make our way north around Beauty Mtn to near Anza then east to Temecula where we will stop for lunch at a Vineyard. Then head home via I-15.

Time & Place to Meet:

• Meet: Saturday, Oct 22, 9:00 am, Depart: 9:30 am (see alternate below)
• Where: Dudley’s Bakery
  30218 CA-78, Santa Ysabel, CA 92070

The group will meet at Dudley’s bakery in Santa Ysabel (near the intersection of Hwys SR-78 and SR-79). We will leave by 9:30 am and head north to Warner Springs, then head up Indian Flats Rd (9S05) aka Lost Valley Rd., winding our way to the northeast side of Temecula wine country. There are gas stations in Santa Ysabel, as well as Temecula for those who plan to fuel up before heading home.

Alternate meeting place for those joining from the north – at the intersection of Hwy 76 and 79, near Lake Henshaw. The meeting time here would be about 9:45 am.

• Advised: Plenty of water for the morning. Sunscreen and hat. Amateur (Ham) 2M Radio. Any emergency and recovery gear you have. Any necessary tire-changing tools (including anti-theft lug nut keys). GPS, if you have one.
